How Remote Learning Will Be Delivered

We use a combination of digital platforms and printed resources to support home learning. Depending on the situation, learning may be provided through:

• Microsoft Teams / ClassDojo / Tapestry (depending on year group)
• Teacher‑uploaded activities and guidance
• Video explanations or recorded lessons
• Learning packs or printed materials for families who need them

What Pupils Can Expect Each Day

During periods of remote learning, pupils will receive:

• Daily English and Maths activities
• At least one additional subject activity each day
• Clear instructions and examples from the class teacher
• Opportunities to submit work online or via email
• Feedback and support from staff based on submitted work

How We Support Children With SEND

We will make reasonable adjustments to remote learning for pupils with additional needs. This may include:

• Differentiated learning tasks
• Practical or simplified resources
• Additional check‑ins from support staff
• Printed materials matched to a child’s learning plan
• Adapted expectations based on EHCP or support plan targets

 

Support for Families Without Devices or Internet

We want every child to be able to access learning. If technology is a barrier, we can provide:

• School devices (subject to availability)
• Printed work packs
• Phone check‑ins from staff
• Additional support materials on request

Parent & Pupil Expectations

We ask pupils and families to:

• Try to complete the daily activities set
• Share completed work via the agreed platform (Teams/Dojo/Tapestry)
• Contact school if they are unsure or unable to complete work
• Maintain regular communication so teachers can support effectively

Wellbeing, Safeguarding & Communication

Your child’s wellbeing remains our priority. During any remote learning period:

• Staff will keep in regular contact with families
• Any concerns will be passed to the Designated Safeguarding Lead
• Families can contact the school at any time for support or advice

Our Remote Education approach complies with national expectations and statutory requirements for maintained schools.
